I built this to be a quiet place to look at your life, so I keep as little of you as possible, and I keep it safe.

Who is responsible

Into the Open is run by Jaroslava Brinkman, IČO 75292084, Dolní 281/2c, 500 02 Hradec Králové - Roudnička, Czech Republic. If you have any question about your data, or you want it deleted, write to hello@intotheopen.co and I will handle it myself.

What I collect

Two things. Your email address, if you choose to leave one so the weekly conversations can come back to you. And the words you write during the audit and the weekly returns - your answers, the one thing you decide to do, and what you report back. I keep your words exactly as you wrote them, because that is the point.

I do not collect anything else. No account, no login, no tracking you around the web, no advertising cookies, no selling your data to anyone, ever.

Why I keep it

Only to make the thing work. Your email lets the weekly notes reach you. Your words are held so the conversation can come back to them and go deeper, weeks later. That is the whole reason, and there is no other use.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in the European Union, in Frankfurt, Germany, on servers run by Upstash. Payment, if you buy the paid three weeks, is handled by Stripe, who receive only what they need to take the payment. I never see or store your card details.

How long I keep it

I keep your data for as long as the three-week arc needs it, plus a short buffer, and then I delete it - at the latest 90 days after your last activity. If you ask me to delete it sooner, I will, within 30 days, no questions.

A note on what you write

Some people write about hard things - health, feelings, what is not working in their life. That is welcome here, and it stays private. But please know this is a self-reflection tool, not therapy and not medical care, and it is run by AI. If something heavy comes up, it is worth taking to a real person. There is more on that in the terms.

Your rights

Under EU data protection law (GDPR) you can ask me what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or take it with you. Just write to hello@intotheopen.co. You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů) if you are ever unhappy with how I handle your data.
